In order to determine the root cause of eufy SoloCam not recording events, please confirm the following settings to verify if the issue can be resolved.

1. Make sure your camera is powered on and online.

2. Make sure you have turned on the SoloCam by launching the eufySecurity app > SoloCam Name > Camera Settings > SoloCam Camera On.

3. Make sure the SoloCam’s Motion Detection feature has been enabled.

Steps: eufySecurity app > SoloCam Name > Camera Settings > Motion Detection > Motion Detection On.

4. Make sure you have enabled the Record Video feature under Security mode.

Steps: eufySecurity app > Security tab at the lower right corner of the main screen > Home/Away > Home/Away Settings > Enable Record Video.

5. Increase the SoloCam’s motion detection sensitivity level.

Steps: eufySecurity app > SoloCam Name > Camera Settings > Motion Detection > Detection Sensitivity.

6. Please check the location where the camera is installed, the optimal installation height is 2-3.5m off the ground. If the camera is mounted either too high or too low, the detection distance will be reduced. It is not recommended to install your camera with a downtilt angle exceeding 25°. A large downtilt angle will also reduce the detection distance.

7. Please adjust the camera’s working mode to the Customize Recording setting with 5s retriggering intervals and a 120s clip length.

Steps: eufySecurity app > SoloCam Name > Camera Settings > General > Power Manager > Customize Recording.
