What are Hall Effect Sensors

Modified on Thu, 18 Dec at 10:56 AM

Our range of Gamepad controllers all include hall effect sensors. Read below to learn more about this feature.

Hall effect sensors are devices that detect the position of a joystick using magnetic fields rather than physical contact. This technology measures changes in voltage caused by the interaction between a magnetic field and electric current, allowing for precise input detection without the wear and tear associated with traditional analog sticks.

Benefits of Hall effect sensors include:

  • They don’t develop stick drift.
  • They will last you much longer.
  • They are usually more precise than analog (but it might be different in FPS games).
  • They have better dead zones.
