This product is intended for installation by a professional installer only! Attempts to install this product by a person other than a trained professional may result in severe damage to a vehicle’s electrical system and components.

The control centre:

When installed, the control centre will typically be located on the upper part of the front windshield, which consists of:

  • The In-vehicle system antenna, used for system and remote control communication.
  • The Status LED, as a visual indicator of the system’s status.
  • The Control (or Valet) button, for placing the system into Valet Mode and performing various user functions.

Commands:

With the guide below, the left column represents the actions available on the remote directly. By pressing any of these options, you perform the action stated in the "Direct access", directly represented in the table to the right of the symbol that you press. To enable the extra functions represented further right in the table, press the function button the amount of times stated at the top, and then the action button to use that feature.

  • For example - If you wish to enable valet mode remotely, all you have to do is press the function button twice, and then within 3 seconds, press the unlock button.

Remote programming:

To enter into programming mode, press and hold the function button for eight seconds, the transmit LED turns on to indicate success in entering main menu.

To exit out of programming mode, press and release the function button and then press and hold the function button until the transmit LED turns off.

Remote pairing:

Preparing the vehicle for pairing:

  1. Open at least one of the vehicle’s doors.
  2. Turn the key to the ON position.
  3. Within five seconds press and release one time the Control button on the Control Center.
  4. Within five seconds, press and hold the Control button. The status LED will flash one time and the siren will chirp once to confirm the system is ready for remote pairing.
  5. Release the Control button and proceed to next step.

Preparing the remote control for pairing:

  1. Enter programming to access the Main Menu as explained previously in the "remote programming" section.
  2. Press and hold the circle arrow button for 1 second, 3 transmit LED flashes indicate the remote control is ready to pair.
  3. Press the lock button.
  4. Wait several seconds as the remote generates a security encryption and sends it to the Control Center. The siren chirps to indicate Pairing is complete. If pairing is not successful press and release the function button once and then repeat steps 7 and 8.

Remote features:

Enter programming to access the main menu as previously explained, then from the main menu, press the unlock button to access the remote operation features.

Keypad lock:

When off (Default), the buttons do not lock and always perform when pressed. When set to auto, the remote buttons lock after a 20 seconds of their last use to prevent unintended actions, and can then only be used when using the action following a press of the function button.

Car 2:

This feature allows the remote to control two different systems independently. The system can be switched from off (Default) to on depending on your preferences.

Normal arming protection:

Status LED: The control centre status LED flashes as a visual indicator that your vehicle's engine is active.

Starter kill: If installed, the failsafe starter kill relay stops the engine from starting.

Sensor triggers: The shock sensors can distinguish minor and major impacts and sound an alarm based on what was detected.

Point of entry sensors: Opening the hood or trunk causes a full-trigger output, whilst opening a door or turning on the ignition will cause a chirping alerts for 3 seconds before a full-trigger output, allowing you to disarm the system incase of an accidental trigger.

Sensor silent arming protection:

Sensor Warn-away and Sensor Full Trigger activations are defeated. Point of entry triggers will activate the Full Trigger output.

Full silent arming protection:

Sensor Warn-away, Sensor Full Trigger and Point of Entry activations are defeated. Only the Ignition input will activate the Full Trigger output.

Sensor warn-away output:

When the system sensors detect a Warn-away trigger the siren chirps and parking lights flash for 3 seconds.

Full trigger output:

An alarm Full Trigger will sound the siren and flash the parking lights for 30 seconds.

Emergency override:

This feature allows you to disarm the security system without the remote control, should it be lost, damaged, or disabled. To disarm the system without a remote, you must have the vehicle’s factory key and know where the control button is located (Control centre).

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Press and release the control button the preset amount of times within 15 seconds.
  3. After 5 seconds the system should disarm. If the system does not disarm, you may have waited too long. If this is the case, turn off the ignition and try again.

Trigger zone fault report:

When armed by remote command the system runs a status check of the alarm trigger zones. Faulty zones (usually caused by dome light delay or open trunk) are bypassed and reported via the control center LED, while all other trigger zones remain active and are monitored to protect the vehicle. Should a faulty zone self correct (dome light turns off) it becomes active and is then monitored normally. The siren chirps once again a few seconds following the arming chirps as an audible alert, the control center LED flashes in groups to indicate the zone number.

Alarm report:

If the alarm is triggered while armed, it will be reported when it is disarmed. The siren chirps that are given off when the system is disarmed can help you identify the kind trigger that occurred.

Nuisance Prevention Circuitry:

NPC monitors all alarm zones and, if any are triggered excessively, bypasses them until corrected. If a point of entry (trunk, hood, door) is left open following a forced entry, it is bypassed. It becomes active again only after being closed. Bypassed sensors automatically reset after one hour and after the vehicle is driven. Disarming then re-arming the alarm does not reset bypassed sensors.

Passive arming:

The system can be programmed to arm itself automatically, this is called passive arming. If the system is programmed for passive arming, it will automatically arm 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off and the system detects that you have left the vehicle by opening and closing a door.

  • The LED will flash twice as fast as it does when it is armed to let you know that it is counting down.
  • The system cannot passively arm if any entry point of the vehicle is open.

The system will also activate passive arming if you have disarmed the security but have not opened any of the doors.

Valet mode:

You can prevent your security system from automatically arming and triggering by using Valet Mode. This is very useful when:

  • Washing the vehicle.
  • Having it serviced.

In Valet Mode, the security system will not arm, even with the remote transmitter, but all convenience functions (door locks, trunk release, etc.) will continue to work normally.

To enter or exit from Valet mode:

  1. Turn the ignition on
  2. Turn the ignition off
  3. Press and release the control button within 10 seconds of turning ignition off

Car select (Car 2):

As mentioned above in the "Remote features" section, Car 2 must be turned on in order to have more than one vehicle in selection. Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds. The LED flashes once or twice to indicate the selected Car is 1 or 2, release the button for Car Select or continue to hold for programming. Release the function button, then press and release while the LED flashes continue to perform Car Select. Once the car is selected a command can be performed by pressing one of the command buttons.

System options:

  • Controlling two vehicles (Explained above)
  • Owner recognition - The system can recognise the remote being used and its preferences
  • Comfort closure - Automatically close windows and sunroof
  • Alarm output duration
  • Arming and warn-away chirp control
  • Driver door priority unlocking
