What should I do if my HomeVac H11/H11 Pure discharges quickly?

Modified on Tue, 11 Nov at 3:37 PM

It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to fully charge a HomeVac H11, and all three LED indicator lights will remain on once the vacuum is fully charged. After the vacuum is fully charged, its maximum runtime is 13 minutes.

The issue of a HomeVac H11 discharging quickly may be the result of the following situations:

  • The vacuum is not fully charged, causing the battery to run out and automatically shut down.
  • The vacuum is clogged or has sucked in liquids.

How to fix the issue of a HomeVac H11 discharging quickly?

If your HomeVac H11 or H11 Pure’s runtime is shorter than 13 minutes after fully charging it for 3.5 hours, please refer to the following tips and check if the issue can be resolved:

We can determine the problem by looking at the three LED indicator lights on the vacuum:

  • If it shows no indicator or all 3 indicators flash while charging, or the LED 1 flash 5 times and then turns off (when it was unplugged), refer to What if my HomeVac H11/HomeVac H11 Pure does not charge?
  • If it can be charged normally (see the following picture about normal charging indicator), then troubleshoot according to the indicator it gives out when the On-Off button was pressed (the vacuum was unplugged):

All three LED indicator lights flash 11 times and then turn off

Please confirm if the vacuum had ever sucked in liquids or was used without the filters installed properly. The vacuum is not designed to suck in liquids or to be used without filters. If your vacuum did not suck in liquids and also had its filters properly installed, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.

If the vacuum did suck in liquids, refer to What to do if the HomeVac H11(Pure) sucked liquids by accident?

All three LED indicator lights flash 7 times and then turn off

This issue may be due to the vacuum filters. Please troubleshoot by turning on the vacuum without installing its filters and checking if the vacuum works. If the vacuum works without issues, please confirm if the filters are either dry or need to be replaced. Note: Please do not actually use the vacuum to clean because it is not designed to be used without its filters.
