Floodlight Cam E30: Motion Detection and Settings

Modified on Wed, 10 Dec at 11:23 AM

What is Motion Detection?

  • Motion Detection includes:

    • A.I. Detection: The camera identifies people, vehicles, and pets to reduce unnecessary alerts. You can also set Activity Zones to monitor important areas.

    • PIR Motion Sensor Detection: Two sensors detect motion over a wide area, even outside the camera's view.

What are Activity Zones?

  • Activity Zones let you customize specific areas for the camera to monitor. You can set up to 2 zones per camera position (8 zones total), helping reduce unnecessary motion alerts.

What is the difference between Sensitivity and Detection Range?

  • Sensitivity: Controls how easily the camera sends alerts. Higher sensitivity catches small movements but may increase notifications; lower sensitivity focuses on larger movements.

  • Detection Range: Sets how far the sensors can detect motion (up to 40 ft). Use Motion Test mode to adjust settings for your environment.

Why does my Floodlight Cam E30 keep turning on?

  • If the camera is triggering too often, try the following steps:

    1. Reduce the motion detection range.

    2. Adjust each sensor’s range in Advanced mode.

    3. Set a schedule.
