Local Storage
HomeBase comes with non-removable 16GB local storage.
The local storage space is specifically allocated to store the operating system of the HomeBase, as well as the video and image data captured by the cameras. It can store 3 months’ worth of videos for a system with 1 camera(10 motion detections a day and 20 seconds of recording each time).
External Hard Drive Storage
HomeBase supports adding an external hard drive with a serial ATA (SATA) interface, and its space up to 16TB, which can store years of videos for a system with 1 camera.
Note:
1. Once an external hard drive is connected to the HomeBase, all video recordings will be automatically stored on the hard drive.
2. Once the storage space is close to full, HomeBase will activate the full disk coverage logic. When new recordings are generated, a certain amount of old recordings will be deleted by default to ensure continuous recording of new events. It is recommended to use a larger hard drive, backup old recordings in advance, or use the "favorite" function in event playback page to avoid losing old recordings due to being overwritten.
3. HomeBase uses enterprise-level encryption to store all data in your home, only you can access it, which is safe and protects privacy.
