The detection result of Face Detection relies on a few factors:
1. The distance between the camera and the object.
2. The moving speed of the object.
3. The angle of the face in relation to the camera.
4. The brightness and clarity of the video.
5. During the daytime, the face detection distance is 15-20ft(5-7m). During the nighttime, the face detection distance will be shorter.
