Before You Buy

Which App do you use? 

The Eufy App. You can download it via Google Play(Android) or App Store(iOS).

Will this support 5GHz Wi-Fi?

No. It only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Learn more about Requirements for Using eufySecurity Devices.

Does this wired doorbell come with the HomeBase?

No. 2K wired doorbell does not come with the HomeBase. 

Is it weatherproof?

Yes. It is IP65 weatherproof. 

What are the differences between eufy video doorbells?

What is the resolution of the 2K wired doorbell camera?

The 2K wired doorbell camera has a 2K resolution, which is 2560x1920.

Can I add a wireless eufy doorbell and use the same chime of this wired doorbell?

Sorry that this chime cannot work with the wireless doorbell. For eufy 2K wireless/battery doorbell, you can use the add-on chime with a USB dongle as a second chime.

Can you create your own greetings for the doorbell?

Does it work if the power goes out?

No. It would not work if the power is off.

Can this alert you to audio activity like alarm sounds?

No. It only notifies you if motion is detected or someone is ringing the doorbell. 

What is the local storage capacity? Can it be increased?

The 2K wired doorbell has a built-in 4GB local storage. When the doorbell detects an event, it starts recording. The video is encrypted on bank-grade AES-128 bit and stored on the local storage. The user who has correct account info can access the doorbell, read and write the local storage via the eufySecurity app. For now, it cannot be expanded, but we are working on it.

Does the wired doorbell support NAS storage？

Sorry, it doesn't support NAS devices.

What happens after the 4GB local storage gets filled up?

The new videos will overwrite old videos. 

Does the Doorbell work with 3rd-party smart platforms?

Integration with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and HomeKit are still undergoing development. Once the 3rd party compatibility feature is available, eufySecurity will send out a notice. Here is the list of doorbell's smart integration.

Do any of the eufy doorbell cameras support ONVIF or RTSP?

App Setup

Will the wired doorbell lose its App settings during a power outage?

Usually, it will not.

Does the wired doorbell support geofencing like other eufyCams?

No, it doesn’t.

Can I label the person?

No. The doorbell doesn't support facial recognition.

How do you update the firmware of this doorbell?

It updates automatically in the wee hours. You can force an update by selecting the device in the app and then check for firmware updates. If it fails, don’t worry. It will automatically update in the following one or two days.

We only have one email address and 2 android phones. Can I log in to the Eufy App with the same account on two phones?
