eufy Smart Lock Auto-Lock When the Door is in Non-Closed Position

Auto-lock is a feature built into our Smart Lock that automatically locks your door when it is closed. When the built-in sensor detects that your door is closed in a fixed position, it will trigger the smart lock to automatically lock your door. However, sometimes the smart lock might auto-lock the door when the door is still in a non-closed position. Reasons are as follows:

1. The geomagnetic sensor is disturbed by the decorative key cover. It will function normally when you close the door and recalibrate the lock. 

Recalibrate the lock geomagnetism via the eufy App after you have closed the door. The setting method can be easily found in “Lock Setting > Lock calibration”.

2. When the door is opened for more than 5 minutes, it will be automatically locked to ensure the battery usage time of smart lock.
