What should I do if I’m seeing an error “Couldn’t add Accessory” on Home App?

If the iOS Home App says it cannot find the accessory or add it to Home, you may follow below troubleshooting steps.


1. Check if your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and on the same local network as the eufySecurity device.

 

2. Turn off and turn on the home data permission for the eufy App. Go to Side Menu > Settings > APP Permission > Home Data.

 

3. Open the iOS Home App and check if it allows you to add new accessories.

Note: whether the accessory can be added directly to the Home App depends on the setup code on the security device. Learn more about Can I use HomeKit without a eufy App?

 

4. Confirm your Home app is working properly and you have signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID on every device, then turn on iCloud Keychain and Home in iCloud Settings.
