4G Starlight Camera Occasionally Misses Some Events

Modified on Wed, 10 Dec at 11:19 AM

If the 4G Starlight Camera misses some events, please try the following troubleshooting steps to verify if the issue can be resolved.

1. 4G Starlight Camera utilizes a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to detect motion from moving objects that can emit body heat. Objects such as swaying bushes or leaves cannot emit body heat, so these objects will not trigger the camera's PIR sensor.

2. If the camera is placed behind a glass or a weatherproof box, the PIR sensor will not be able to detect motion. Make sure there are no obstacles or transparent materials placed in front of the camera.

3. Select All Motion in the Detection Type and increase the sensitivity level. (My Devices > “...” Icon > Gear Icon > Camera Settings > Motion detection).

4. Change the camera working mode to the Customize Recording setting with 5s retriggering intervals. (My Devices > “...” Icon > Gear Icon > Camera Settings > Power Manager > Customized Recording).

5. Delete the Activity zone to verify if there is any difference. (My Devices > “...” Icon > Gear Icon > Camera Settings > Motion detection).
