Kapture Dash Cams - Why is the in-cabin footage black and white?

Some of our dash cameras that have an in-cabin camera come with an IR light which allows the camera to have higher visibility of the cabin without creating a bright light that disturbs the occupants.

This feature requires the camera to shift into black and white as colours are less detailed. If the black and white footage that you see is likely during darker times of the day, then this is the problem.
