Why isn't my camera detecting motion?
- Please make sure the area you want to detect is located in the camera viewing area (≤8m/26ft). You can test the motion detection in your app by going to My Devices > Select Camera > Camera Settings > Motion detection. Also, please make sure if you have enabled motion detection on your camera settings.
- Please try to turn up the sensitivity level.
- Please make sure you have enabled Video Record and Push Notification in the security mode you have selected. You can go to Security > Home/Away > Home/Away Settings > Video Record & Push Notification.
- Please try to remove the camera and add the camera again in the app.
What is the detection range of the motion sensor?
It depends on the mounting height and angle. The sensor can detect objects moving as far as 25-30ft (8-10m) away for the straight line distance.
Does the camera detect cars and animals?
If you set the detection type as Human Only, it will only detect humans in the daytime, and detect all of the motions (including cars and animals) in the night time. Because the image quality at night may not meet the requirements of human shape detection.
If you set the detect type as All Motions, it will detect all motions (including cars and animals) both in day and night time.
