How Apple's Find My App Locates an Item

Modified on Wed, 10 Dec at 11:30 AM

SmartTrack connects to Apple's Find My Network. It can locate your items worldwide for free with the Find My app.

1. If you misplace an item with a SmartTrack attached, use Apple's Find My app to see or navigate to the location or last known location. If SmartTrack is nearby, you can play a sound from SmartTrack's built-in speaker. SmartTrack uses the Find My network, an encrypted and anonymous network of hundreds of millions Apple devices that can help you find your items.

2. If you can not play a sound:

You can only make SmartTrack play a sound if you are within Bluetooth range. Try walking around to let Bluetooth find and connect to SmartTrack.

3. If SmartTrack is within Bluetooth range of your device but isn't playing a sound:

Double click SmartTrack to check if it still has power from the battery. If SmartTrack does not make a sound, please remove the battery cover and replace the depleted battery with a new CR2032 battery.
