How do I add my SmartTrack Card/Link to the Find My app on my iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch?

What You Need

An iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch with iOS 14.5 or iPadOS 14.5 or newer and two-factor authentication enabled. 

  • The Find My app is enabled.

  • Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.

  • Have a strong Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

  • Location Services is enabled: Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.

  • To use Precision Finding to view the most accurate location for your SmartTrack Card/Link, turn on Location Access for the Find My app. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, then scroll down and tap the Find My app. Check “While Using the App” or “Widgets” and turn on Precise Location.

Add Your Device

  • Open the Home page > Security > Add device > Scan QR code.

  • Press and hold the SmartTrack Card/Link button for two seconds until you hear a ring.

  • Select an item name from the list or choose “Custom Name” to name your SmartTrack Card/Link, then choose an emoji and tap Continue.

  • To register your SmartTrack Card/Link with your Apple ID, tap Continue again.

  • Tap Done to complete the setup process. You can now attach your SmartTrack Card/Link to your item and see it in the Find My app.
